Just hours after Anthony Rapp came forward with his story about Kevin Spacey’s alleged sexual advances towards him 31 years ago, the House Of Cards star took to Twitter tonight to respond. After apologizing to the Star Trek Discovery actor and saying he has a lot of respect and admiration for him as an actor, Spacey goes on to say he was “horrified” by the story and does not remember the encounter.
“I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior,” Spacey said.
Then, he added an admission about his own sexuality.
“I choose now to live as a gay man,” he said. “I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior.”
